The story:

Чак чак is an intangible heritage of Tatars. The bright color is reflection of the sun. Its shape, a small round cone, symbolises cordiality, friendliness, and solidarity. чак чак is served in different shapes or forms depending on which type of celebrations (such as wedding, celebration of name giving or sabantuy).

For his son’s wedding, The Khan of Bulgaria wanted to present a mouthwatering snack that last for a long time and can be easily to carry. It needed to leave positive impression for the wedding’s guests. Upon receiving his wishes, the chef started to brainstorm some ideas but couldn’t come with concrete recipe. Surprisingly, a shepherd’s wife came along and presented to the Khan of Bulgaria with light meal based on noodles and honey. Not only The Khan felt this captured all of his wishes, but also he cried for joy comparing these pieces of delicacy to building relationship and having many kids in a close knit family.
